To live will be an awfully big adventure - JM Barrie

For ten years, I've focused my life and my writing on finding the balance... in everything. Sometimes, we have to do things to the extreme.

Now is that time. Here you'll find stories about my adventures abroad — my meanderings — teaching English, making new friends, exploring how my ideas about faith, relationships, mental health, sexuality, and so many other topics are impacted by immersing myself in a new world.

wandering with a purpose

meander \  me·an·der  \ mē-ˈan-dər \
noun: a winding curve or bend of a river or road
verb: to follow a winding course

Since the end of May of this year, 2018, I've had the blessing and gift of being able to wander around parts of the country I've called home in some way, shape, or form (either by person or by place). Over 8,000 miles on the road in areas I never before laid eyes on has led me to believe that home is so much more than a physical address.

My hope is that, as I go on this next journey to South Korea and beyond, we can discover together new ways to not just find home, but to make it wherever we are.

Much love, Michael.
